As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role offers hybrid working, providing flexibility while ensuring strong collaboration with clients and project teams. The Role We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a background in delivering 'Food Retail' projects. You will be responsible for managing project costs from inception to completion, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards. If you come from a similar background to 'Food Retail' this will also be considered for the position. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for food retail construction projects. Manage project finances, including cost forecasting, valuations, and financial reporting. Assess contractor and supplier quotations, ensuring best value and compliance with project specifications. Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure cost efficiency. Key Skills & Experience ✔ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, ideally within food retail. ✔ Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration. ✔ Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts. ✔ Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. ✔ Strong negotiation and communication abilities. ✔ Ambition to achieve RICS chartership (support available). ✔ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
