Junior Bookkeeper

Our client, an engineering and services company based in Stikland (Cape Town), is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and a proactive attitude, to join their growing team. This is an on-site role based on the premises in Stikland. This is the ideal opportunity for an individual seeking growth and wanting to gain experience in a variety of accounting responsibilities. The incumbent will work closely with the business owners and the administrative team, and be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Key responsibilities will include: General Bookkeeping and Transaction Recording Invoicing & Accounts Receivable Management Accounts Payable Processing Payroll Support Import and Export Documentation Support Tax and Compliance Support Financial Reporting and Reconciliation Documentation and Record Keeping Administrative Support & Compliance all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Relevant financial diploma/degree; Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping position; Exposure to import and export documentation and procedures will be highly beneficial; Excellent computer proficiency (Sage accounting software and MS Excel); Valid drivers license and own vehicle; Willingness to occasionally travel between offices or to clients.
