No Offer Description Project FEED aims at promoting healthier and sustainable lifestyles by promoting the Mediterranean diet through functional foods with health benefits using novel products and technologies. Call for competition no. 331.1 IBBA RIC. Public selection based on qualifications and interview for the recruitment with fixed-term contract (12 months) of a Researcher at National Research Council - Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology (CNR IBBA) in Milan. No other form of submission of the application is allowed, under penalty of exclusion. Required Skills/Qualifications The following skills/qualifications are required for admission to the selection. The requirements must be met on the date of the application deadline, under penalty of exclusion from the selection procedure: Master's Degree in Biology, Pharmacy or Food Science. If the degree has been obtained abroad, the candidate shall indicate in the application the details of the measure by which the degree itself has been recognized as equivalent to the corresponding Italian degree or declare that he/she has submitted the relevant request. In this case, the candidate will be admitted to the competition with reservation, it being understood that the measure must mandatorily be submitted before the conclusion of the employment contract. At least three years' experience in the field of in vitro culture, plant biochemistry, secondary metabolism studies, analysis of bioactive compounds, and in the separation, purification, and identification of bioactive metabolites, or possession of a Ph.D. degree relevant to the experience required. Documented experience in research projects: - in the in vitro growth and culture of plant material and in the development of specific tissue cultures; - in the use of chromatographic and spectrophotometric analysis techniques of secondary metabolites, in the analysis of the in vitro antioxidant power of plant extracts, microparticles and bioactive films and the enzymes involved; - in the separation, purification and identification of bioactive compounds from plant tissues and other matrices. Knowledge of English and basic computer skills (to be evaluated during interview). Knowledge of the Italian language for candidates of non-Italian citizenship (to be evaluated during interview). Specific Requirements The following specific requirements are required for admission to the selection. The requirements must be met on the date of the application deadline, under penalty of exclusion from the selection procedure: European Union citizenship. Family members of EU citizens who do not have the EU citizenship and who hold the right of residence or the right of permanent residence, or third-country nationals who hold the EC long-term residence permit or who hold refugee status or subsidiary protection status may also participate. Age of majority (18 years). Not having been convicted of criminal offenses, which have been res judicata, for crimes involving disqualification from public office; not having been dismissed or discharged from employment with a Public Administration for persistent and insufficient performance and not having been declared disqualified from another state employment, for having obtained employment through the production of false documents or documents vitiated by invalidity that cannot be remedied, as well as not having been disqualified from public office on the basis of a final judgment, nor having been dismissed for disciplinary reasons in accordance with the national collective bargaining agreements entered into for the Public Administration sectors. Enjoyment of civil and political rights. For candidates who are not Italian citizens and do not hold refugee or subsidiary protection status, the enjoyment of civil and political rights is referred to the country of citizenship. The Commission first adopts the evaluation criteria before having examined the documentation submitted by the candidates. For the evaluation of qualifications and the interview, the Examination Commission has a total of 90 points, divided as follows: Qualifications: 30 points Interview: 60 points Candidates who have achieved a score of not less than 21/30 in the examination of qualifications are admitted to the interview. The notice of call for the interview, with the indication of the score obtained in the evaluation of the qualifications, is given to the admitted candidates, at least fifteen days before the day of the interview. The interview, aimed at verifying the possession of the aptitude and professional requisites required, will focus on professional activities and/or experiences in the field of competences required. In order to pass the interview, the candidate must obtain a score of not less than 42/60.
