Mechanical Engineering Manager

Magicmotorsport is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical design team, ensuring the quality, efficiency, and innovation of our products. Location: Partinico (PA), Sicily, HQ Role Overview In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire mechanical design process, from prototyping to production, ensuring alignment with quality standards, cost constraints, and deadlines. You will manage the mechanical design team and work closely with Project Managers and other departments to develop innovative solutions, accurately document projects, and support production with quality control and assembly fixtures. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the mechanical design team, supporting their professional growth; Develop innovative solutions for mechanical challenges, optimizing materials, technologies, and costs; Design and validate mechanical components and systems, from prototype to production; Ensure the accuracy and quality of technical documentation (CAD drawings, BOM, revisions); Manage tolerance analysis, FEM, and other simulation tools to improve designs; Optimize manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards; Collaborate with the quality team to implement control fixtures and verification strategies; Monitor deadlines and cost constraints, working closely with Project Managers; Support supply chain management in selecting materials and suppliers; Technical Requirements Experience in a similar role, with managerial responsibilities, of at least 3 years, with documented success stories; At least 7 years' experience in advanced mechanical design, with skills in 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks, SolidEdge); Deep knowledge of GD&T tolerance analysis, and Failure Mode Analysis; Expertise in FEM structural analysis; Knowledge in CFD, fluid dynamics, dynamic simulations is a plus; Knowledge of metallic and polymeric materials; Knowledge of mechanical treatments and processing techniques, like as turning, milling, bending, laser cutting, powder coating, molding and additive manufacturing; Familiarity with metrology and advanced measuring instruments (CMM, Roughness Measuring Instrument, micrometers); Understanding of major mechanical design and safety standards (ISO, ASME, DIN, ASTM, Machinery Directive); Experience in BOM management and production cycle optimization; Experience with PLM (e.g., TeamcenterX) and ERP/MRP for production management is a plus; Soft Skills Leadership and team management skills, with a focus on professional development; Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to complex technical challenges; Attention to detail and precision, especially in technical documentation; Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams; Ability to manage complex projects, meeting deadlines and cost constraints; What You Will Gain from This Experience A leadership role in a challenging technical environment, with room for growth and process optimization; The opportunity to lead a technical team and directly contribute to the development of cutting-edge products; A chance to improve and innovate mechanical design and industrialization processes; A dynamic and stimulating environment, with professional growth opportunities; Benefits & Perks Exciting challenges and career development opportunities; The chance to work in a passionate and driven team; Free breakfast and meals at our fantastic cafeteria; Team-building activities every season; Job Offer Full-time, permanent contract; Competitive salary, based not only on technical experience but also on soft skills and professional growth; Are you ready to drive mechanical innovation with us?
