Senior Field Service Engineer

As the Senior Field Service Engineer, your role will be to support our customers (mainly pharma and chemical plants) by delivering activities required for maintenance, troubleshooting and incident resolution, technical support, system upgrade, warranty services, training, executing configuration and/or modifications, and on-call services to our DCS. You will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps our customers carry out maintenance, improve security and reliability, and boost performance of their DeltaV DCS systems. We look forward to seeing your application In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Perform tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations. Provide technical support to customers, lead investigations, and recommend solutions. Provide remote (phone, internet) technical support assistance for System users of DeltaV DCS. Be willing to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient service. Assist in design studies, H/W & S/W upgrades & modifications. Support project activities at customer sites including system installation and application programming. Provide on-site customer training for Emerson products. Get trained with the latest technologies and/or products for which you will be performing services. For This Role, You Will Need: Technical diploma or degree in an engineering field, such as electronics, automation, computer science, mechanical or electrical preferred. Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) & Networking, Cyber Security, Virtualization, Programming Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup and Recovery. Good communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English – written and spoken. Experience in the process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience in DCS or PLC application (knowledge of DeltaV DCS being an advantage). Start-up and commissioning experience in process automation. Willingness to travel frequently. Availability to work non-office hours, occasionally including weekends, to support customers and perform call-out services.
