Job Description
Lead Cybersecurity Engineer Circa £80,000 Glasgow hybrid. Are you an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer looking for a strategic leadership role where you can take ownership and define a companys cyber policies, procedures and training required to future proof a scaling B2B Fintech? This is a leadership role for somebody who can be hands on when needed, code in python and be well versed in cloud technologies like GCP. The aim of the role is to build a world class cyber culture for a scaling Fintech company. What is in it for me? Salary of circa £80k for a scaling B2B Fintech. 2 days a week onsite in Glasgow but highly flexible in working practices very trusting company. Joining a small cyber team and taking a leadership role in the organisation with direct access to the CEO and ability to shape cyber policy across all departments. £1500 allowance on personal health, L&D and technology needed. Cycle2work scheme Skills and Experience Required: Extensive experience in Cloud and Software Engineering roles that ideally include Python and GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Evidence of leadership roles in a cyber setting where penetration testing, DevOps, Infrastructure as code, DevSecOps are all areas of expertise. Experience in developing and delivering cyber policy, cyber training and recommending the best tools and practices to protect the business and its data. Strategy across infrastructure, cloud security, application security, DevSecOps. Emphasis on automating security controls and bringing the organisation on the cyber journey by mentoring and supporting various teams. Proficient in managing stakeholder relationships and expectations. The Tech Stack and Role: DevSecOps: Heavy focus on CI/CD pipelines and GitHub actions Infrastructure as code - Kubernetes (GCP) and Terraform mainly Python coding skills preferred to adjust code when needed and also assess. PostgreSQL and BigQuery are main data storage skills. This role is perfect for an experience Cyber Security leader who really wants to be part of a scaling Fintech and take on responsibility for shaping a Cyber practice. The role needs experience in hands on technical roles to succeed but is a leadership role with heavy strategy focus.
