Quantity Surveyor

You will like Undertaking full-scope QS work from Orpington office for a reputable family-owned property & maintenance contractor with UK wide coverage for notable public and private sector clients. You will like The Quantity Surveyor job itself where you will manage and control all financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to minimise costs & maximise value. You will be responsible for the financial performance of the project through to collection of cash. More specifically: Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders Take responsibility of projects from inception to completion Identify areas to improve margin Cost management Target creation CVR reporting and forecasting Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts Producing and submitting applications for payment Understand Health & Safety requirements Develop and maintain subcontract and supplier contracts Full job description available for shortlisted candidates prior to interview You will have To be successful as a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an experienced QS with a healthy mix of the following: Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent Previous experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades are preferred however not essential Previous experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of rates, design and bud contracts etc. Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative Experienced with direct and subcontract labour Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team Strong IT skills, particularly Excel You will get As Quantity Surveyor, you will receive salary of £40K-£45K Package You can apply To Quantity Surveyor by pushing the button on this job posting (recommended), or by sending CV in confidence to (url removed).
