ADHD Teaching Assistant | Secondary School | ASAP | East London A leading Secondary School in Newham, East London are searching for an ADHD Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 8 with ADHD(On the mild side of the spectrum). As an ADHD TA you will be supporting a year 8 child who has moderate ADHD, meaning he is capable at functioning at a high level but he does need additional support with behaviour and concentration. ADHD Teaching Assistant | Job Details Job Title: ADHD Teaching Assistant Duty: Working 1:1 with a child in a Year 8 class Contract: Full Time, Long Term (Full Academic Year) Location: Newham, East London Rate: £95 - £105 per day (paid weekly). Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods. Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.Requirement: Must have some recent SEN Experience Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one) Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with behavioural problems Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
