IT Project Management Consultant (Part-Time)

Pure Legacy (Pty) Ltd , an international fruit exporter, with their head office based in Paarl , is in search of a IT project Management Consultant to join their team on a part-time/contract basis. This role is ideal for an independent professional managing multiple projects who can provide strategic oversight and hands-on management of the companies technology-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled IT Project Manager, who manages and drives multiple IT projects to completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and alignment with the business objectives. This is a flexible/hybrid role, and the engagement can be structured as a retainer, time-based, or per-project agreement, depending on mutual fit. The consultant will report directly to the IT Steering Committee. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Lead and oversee multiple IT projects, including software implementation, system integrations, digital transformation, and infrastructure upgrades Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies Coordinate between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless execution Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and adjust plans as needed Ensure all projects meet security, compliance, and quality standards Provide strategic IT advice to optimize processes and technologies Document project outcomes, lessons learned, and best practices for future initiatives Assist with vendor selection, contract negotiation, and IT procurement as required. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: 5 Years proven experience in IT project management, preferably across diverse industries; Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies; Experience managing software development, ERP/CRM implementations, cloud migrations, or IT infrastructure projects; Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; Ability to work independently while integrating seamlessly with internal teams; Familiarity with IT security, compliance, and risk management practices; Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or MS Project; PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications will be to the candidates advantage.
