MATERIALS BUYER

The Materials Buyer is responsible for the purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures and under the supervision of the Purchasing Group Leader. Key Activities & Responsibilities Preparation of bidder lists; Commercial tabulation of suppliers' offers; Economic and contractual negotiation of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditions; Issue of Purchase Orders and any revisions; Support and cooperate with the Project Procurement Manager / Coordinator during the development of the supplies in case of any commercial problems with Vendors (such as claims, change order requests, Liquidated Damages discussions, etc.). Personal Attributes: Diploma or degree in a technical discipline (civil engineering); 3-5 years of experience in buying technical materials in an engineering company or building equipment and systems; Design experience in engineering departments is appreciated; SAP knowledge for supplies management; Fluent English speaker and writer; Availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
