Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership, and develop a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals Provide technical guidance on software architectural patterns and drive adherence to CCoE established patterns Provide leadership and work collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams Lead the team to adopt technologies that enable developer productivity, speed to market, reduce code deployment lead times, reduce cost with a clear focus on reliability, application stability and performance Evangelize Deltas Cloud journey and support team experimentation and innovation to create and implement better products faster Act as a change agent, adopting Deltas enterprise agility strategy and lean principles to support business growth, reduce operational costs, and/or improve service levels. Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and hackathons Lead by example and create a high-trust culture Mentor and coach team members to develop specific behaviors, skills or knowledge needed to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in new responsibilities Ensure the integration of business processes, technology solutions, and data to drive competitive capability and innovation Maintain knowledge of industry trends to improve competitiveness and stay abreast of leading-edge technology Lead through demonstration of Deltas core values as outlined in Rules of the Road Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering, or Information Systems or a related field 12 years of strong IT systems development in Java/J2EE or other distributed application development 5 or more years of demonstrated technical leadership skills 3 or more years of experience in Cloud native technology development (Azure or AWS or GCP) Experience working with SQL, SpringBoot Excellent leadership skills with experience leading teams and/or direct reports Strong experience with agile engineering practices and lean management principles like Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevSecOps, Test Automation, Business Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Strong thought leadership and strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify business issues/opportunities and to frame sustainable solutions Experience in Team Leadership: Managed, mentored, coached and developed teams, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment Experience in Work Allocation/Tracking, Resource Allocation, Capacity Planning & Resource utilization Experience in Performance Management by providing regular performance feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement. Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management. Excellent collaboration and cross organization team building skills to drive results in a high matrix organizational model Experience managing and executing multiple priorities in a timely manner Ability to be effective in a rapidly changing complex technical environment Skills in process / product management that ensures high quality, reliable and cost-effective solutions Self-learner with the ability to pick up new technologies and provide tangible results. Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles Values continuous learning and improvement Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices Preferred Qualifications: Background in Airline Industry, Ticketing, Miscellaneous Document and Business Rules engine is a plus Preferred NoSQL experience
