Warehouse Shift Manager

Our client, a leading logistics company in Carlisle, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Shift Manager to join their team on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Nights - Fixed Shifts) Salary: £38,000 Starting These roles would suit a developing Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader, looking to take their first step up to a Warehouse Shift Manager level. There roles can work on a fixed days or nights shift pattern subject to the candidates identified. About the Role: As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, leading a team of 6 direct reports, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse. Your primary duties will include: Managing and supervising warehouse staff, ensuring optimal performance. Overseeing receiving, storing, picking, and shipping operations. Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitoring and improving warehouse processes and procedures. Providing training, coaching, and development for your team. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics management role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices. A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety. Be commutable to Carlisle 4 days per working week.
