In this role the individual will be preparing accurate cost estimates for Fire & Security and M&E projects as well as evaluating and managing variations in project scope, cost and schedules. This company encourages internal progression which will naturally evolve as the business grows, with the potential for the right candidate to step up into a directorship position in the future. The ideal candidate will hold previous experience in Quantity Surveying and will come from an M&E or Fire & Security background. The Role: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects Collaborate with project managers and engineers to offer cost effective solutions Working towards Chartership 40hr working week - flexible working available The Person: At least 3 years' working experience as a QS, ideally in a Fire & Security or M&E environment. Educated to at least HNC/HND (preferably Degree) level within a relevant discipline - i.e. Quantity Surveying / Estimating Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations Experience of the JCT and NEC 3 & 4 standard suite of Contracts.
