Paralegal – Debt Recovery Location: Manchester Sector: Legal – Commercial Debt Recovery Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Are you an ambitious Paralegal looking to develop your career in commercial debt recovery ? I have been instructed to speak with a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join a highly regarded Debt Recovery Team . Role Overview As a Paralegal in the Debt Recovery Team , you will play a key role in providing an excellent client service and maximising the recovery of debts owed by business customers. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, gaining hands-on experience in debt recovery procedures and legal processes. Key Responsibilities Handling legal work to high professional standards in line with client instructions and Law Society regulations Supporting the team with practice development and business improvement initiatives Managing office administration, file reviews, contract reviews, time recording and archiving Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and Lexcel quality standards and departmental procedures Providing general administrative support such as filing, photocopying, scanning and post allocation Answering telephone inquiries, taking messages and assisting clients professionally Updating case progress on the Nexum debt recovery system Processing credit and debit card payments securely Skills & Experience Required Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional approach Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard IT systems Ability to work collaboratively within a team Up-to-date knowledge of legal principles and commercial issues Previous experience in debt recovery (desirable but not essential) This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in debt recovery, litigation or commercial law , looking to build a strong foundation in a professional legal setting.
