Project Director

Procter Street is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK based construction company to recruit this senior role for their team. Our client operate in the building and civil engineering industries, specialising in ground works, reinforced concrete structures, and infrastructure. They pride themselves on having an impeccable record of securing repeat business, delivering excellent results on multi-million pound projects. The role As Project Director, you will oversee the delivery of a £75m infrastructure project in Inverness. You will lead the project from conception to completion, interacting with both internal stakeholders and the client. You must be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results and ensure the project is delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget. Main responsibilities: Develop and manage project budgets Carry out health and safety procedures Supporting and leading the project team Foster a collaborative and positive working environment Assemble project team and assign tasks to team member Provide leadership and guidance to project team members Monitor progress of project team by holding reviews regularly Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process What are we looking for? For this role, it is essential to have a strong background leading large-scale civil engineering projects, managing internal teams as well as effective engagement with the client. You will also have: Quality & Risk management Superb negotiation capabilities Ability to lead and motivate a team Understanding of construction laws and regulations In depth understanding of contract terms and conditions Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail A solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
