Job Title: Fabric Technician – Static Prison Site Location: York Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM) Holidays: 25 days bank holidays About the Role Are you ready for an exciting challenge? We are looking for a proactive and skilled Fabric Technician to join our dedicated team at a static prison site. As a Fabric Technician, you’ll be central to maintaining the building fabric and ensuring the site remains in top condition. You’ll handle a range of tasks, including general building maintenance, minor repairs, and supporting the wider facilities team in keeping everything operational. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out general building maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to the building fabric. Responding to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner. Overseeing contractors to ensure compliance with site standards. Supporting the wider facilities team to maintain a safe and secure environment. Ensuring building systems are fully functional and operating efficiently. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in general building maintenance or a similar role. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a secure or similar environment (desirable but not essential).
