Lead Electrician

Job Title: Technical Supervisor Location:York Salary: £38,000 - £39,000 £1,000 Bonus Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Parking: On-site Parking Available We are currently recruiting for a Lead Electrician for our client based in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong electrical background to take on a supervisory role, managing a small team of multi-trade engineers across a commercial office environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage a team of 2 multi-skilled engineers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and within the agreed service levels. Oversee the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and ensure these are delivered within the service level agreements (SLAs). Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring a high level of workmanship and safety. Manage contractors, including issuing permits to work and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes and manage the procurement of necessary materials. Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring all maintenance tasks are prioritised effectively. Take responsibility for ensuring the team adheres to operational policies and standards. Key Skills & Experience: Proven supervisory experience, ideally within a facilities or maintenance environment. Strong electrical background with hands-on experience in commercial settings. Ability to manage and oversee multi-trade engineers, ensuring productivity and quality standards. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, and clients. Experience in issuing permits to work and managing contractors. Good organisational skills and ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads. Benefits: Competitive salary of £38,000 - £39,000 per year. £1,000 annual bonus. PDA and uniform provided.
