Job Description
Our client is a well-established regional construction firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented admin assistant to join their team. If you are eager to learn and develop in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you The Role: Process weekly and Fortnightly payroll for all employees, ensuring all hours worked, deductions, and adjustments are accurately calculated. Use Excel to generate reports, track hours, and ensure payroll data is reconciled with timesheets and attendance records. Liaise with HR to update employee records and ensure payroll data is current (e.g., promotions, benefits, leave). Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries, including wage discrepancies and deductions. Tasks may also include supporting the preparation of year-end payroll reports and assisting with audits. Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation and processing of invoices and payments. Handle queries from clients and suppliers regarding financial transactions. Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records. Reconcile accounts and track project expenses. Assist with month-end and year-end reporting. The successful candidate will have: Knowledge of payroll software systems (e.g., Sage Payroll, QuickBooks, or similar) is advantageous but not essential. Understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and National Insurance contributions. Desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees, HR, and finance teams. Attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data and calculations. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suits.
