Job Description
Red Recruitment 24:7 are proud to be working alongside our well established Lincoln based client in their search for a project manager. Summary of the role To ensure that projects are managed, executed and delivered in accordance with the within the clients requirements. Once a quotation is identified as a project and we agree to bid, the Project Manager is expected to look after all aspects of the project from risk review on the quote, working with the customer on scope in purchase order then through the project to final invoicing and close out, including management for all activities around the project and communication to the customer. The Project Manager is expected to provide guidance and leadership to the team, through all aspects of the project and be the point of contact internally and external for the order. Key deliverables will include regular reporting both internally and externally of RAID logs, Change logs and project plans. There will also be customer visits, within the UK or internationally depending on the size on the contracts. The Project Manager may be expected to handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that that reviews are carried out, including financial, risk and contract reviews as required and escalate when needed. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel. Required Skills Education (qualifications & training) Project Management qualification or equivalent experience in Project Management. Qualified to Degree level in an Engineering or Business Related subject. Alternatively, “A” level or HNC/D educated combined with equivalent experience in an Engineering environment. 3 years experience of project management and leadership of multiple projects. Understanding of contract terms and conditions, including those related to client and purchasing requirements Skills (capabilities & qualities) Business understanding – good understands key business drivers and business goals. Good working knowledge of contract and commercial conditions. Good knowledge of procurement and purchasing. Advanced project management skills, including financial, planning & risk management. Knowledge of computer systems and processes, including Microsoft project. Knowledge of Industrial Gas Turbines, including Auxiliary systems and controls would be an advantage. Knowledge of on shore and off shore installations, and the project requirements in dealing with these type of projects High levels of commercial and financial acumen. Good communication skills. Flexible attitude to variety in work scope. IT skills – good knowledge of excel and Microsoft project. Risk Management. Knowledge of budgeting process and products.
