Welding Inspector

Our client based in the Central Belt and one of the largest Naval Shipbuilding companies in the world are looking for a number of Welding Inspectors for an initial 6 month contract INSIDE IR35. You will be a QC Inspector with Welding Inspection and NDT qualifications and will report to the SQCI. It is essential that you have the relevant experience in a defense or engineering related industry with a preference for Naval Construction. You must also be able to pass BPSS security and DBS Experience A recognised trade standard - Fabrication/Marine Engineering/Welding/Shipwright Fabrication, Structural, and multi discipline experience Proven in an inspection environment Ability to read ship specifications and construction drawings Minimum CSWIP 3:1 PCN Level 2 in either - MT/PT/UT (Preferrable) Any Coatings Inspection Certifications A trade test will be carried out to demonstrate certified proficiency's Key Technical Competencies Excellent knowledge of QC practices in construction and acceptance of Naval Warships In depth knowledge of QC fundamentals Understanding of warship technology and validation processes Knowledge of NDT practices and standards Ability to use Microsoft and IFS This is a PAYE Role Standard Hours are 36 per week Monday to Friday Unlimited Overtime which is paid at Time and a Half and Double Time PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BE RESIDENT IN THE UK AS THIS IS A SITE BASED POSITION AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK
