Site Supervisor – Wynyard – £40,000 Overtime Role Overview: A data centre in Wynyard, just north of Middlesbrough, is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee a small team of engineers. The role involves managing the maintenance of critical systems and building services infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted data centre operations. This is a hands-on position requiring a proactive approach to maintenance, compliance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Permanent site-based role – Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm. Supervise a team of engineers, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the site's critical infrastructure. Ensure 24/7 reliability of critical systems, including UPS, generators, HV/LV distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression, and security systems. Manage and coordinate Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Perform monthly generator load testing out of hours to verify system reliability. Support and oversee HV/LV switching operations, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures. Act as a point of escalation for technical issues, providing troubleshooting expertise for electrical and mechanical faults. Ensure compliance with industry standards and site-specific regulations, including health and safety, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems. Work closely with client representatives and contractors, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational transparency. Respond to emergency situations, requiring candidates to live locally for rapid response. Undertake HV Authorised Person (HVAP) training within 12 months to support site-wide electrical systems. Requirements: Ideally apprenticeship trained candidates but City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations & City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations is needed. Experience in data centre or critical environment maintenance. Strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services. Experience managing a team of engineers and coordinating site maintenance activities. Familiarity with UPS, generators, HV/LV systems, cooling, fire suppression, and BMS controls. Security Clearance (SC) required – candidates must be willing to complete the necessary checks. On Offer: £40,000 overtime. 25 days annual leave 8 bank holidays. HVAP training and certification within the first 12 months
