Role: WTG Installation Client Representative Sector: Offshore Wind Location: Offshore (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off) Start Date: March 2025 Duration: 12-Months Possible Extensions Rates: £800 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK Description: The successful candidate will have the proven skills necessary to build relationships with key internal WTG installation stakeholders to ensure that WTG installation activities are safely executed and an accordance with technical and quality requirements. Working as an integral member of the WTG Package team the WTG Offshore Installation Employer Representative shall observe and report on WTG load-out, transportation and installation activities, as defined within the key accountabilities of this role. The role will be back-to-back with another WTG Offshore Installation Employer Representative on day/night shift. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Role and Responsibilities are to ensure that all works undertaken comply with project specific requirements to include: Ensure WTG load-out, transportation and installation activities are in accordance with agreed risk assessments, method statements and quality requirements; Where relevant liaise with the Project Marine Warranty Surveyor on the vessel to ensure COA requirements are met; Attend vessel briefings, shift change meetings and toolbox talks; Perform asset and safety walkdown inspections with the WTG installation contractor; Review and comment on Daily Progress Reports produced by Manufacturer and Vessel and approve where appropriate; Produce a daily progress report for transport and installation activities capturing key findings on site; Compile timings of load-out, transportation and installation activities to inform "chess clock" analysis; Tracking preservation of components in compliance with Manufacturer requirements; Reporting and tracking close out of punch list items; Quality documentation review and sign off of final inspection report; Attending daily coordination meetings with the Turbine Manufacturer site team; Liaising with Project Commissioning and Completions team on outstanding punches uploaded to ProCoSys KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for someone who has WTG construction experience within large complex projects. Minimum HNC qualified in an engineering or construction. Five years of relevant WTG construction experience, as an Employer Representative of similar. Demonstrable understanding of the quality function, during the execution of EPC contracts. Experience of working collaboratively with Clients and Contractors. Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders Experience in monitoring Contractor activities in the following project phases: preservation, installation and commissioning through to completion / hand over, including management of non‐conformities. Demonstrable understanding of Project documentation arrangements, including Contractor documentation deliverables Strong ethos relating to Health Safety and Wellbeing.
