Engineering Manager

Are you an experienced Engineering Manager? Do yo possess excellent communication and management skills? Have you got the necessary skills to deliver project results on time and within budget? My client is currently undertaking a period of growth and is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a new team to install, commission and maintain a new section of their business You will be capable of liaising with the senior management team to understand the objectives of the business and then deliver them to your team so that projects and maintenance are completed in line with expectation levels. You will maintain working relationships with your peer groups in production, quality and HSE departments. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all engineering projects ensuring that work is carried out in a safe and timely manner. Work towards continuous improvement objectives of the department and the business as a whole . Ensure the team are available to cover the site on a 24 /7 in the event of breakdowns and out of the ordinary planned maintenance Project manage new equipment installation and where necessary managing the work of third-party contractors, ensuring Health and Safety and Safe Systems of Work procedures are adhered to. Work closely with colleagues in production, quality control and sales to discuss project specifications and procedures. Prepare and control the site engineering budget You will need to ensure, through the Engineering Team, that there are adequate measures in place to control and monitor the ordering of stock, and that all duties are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. You will help to recruit, line manage and develop engineering team members to be effective in their roles, providing clear communication and expectations to all team members.
