Lifting Supervisor

Our client, a leading company in the construction sector, is currently seeking a Lifting Supervisor for the Saltash Tunnel Refurbishment project. This is a contract position with night shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday, starting on 3rd March 2025 and expected to end in June, with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities: Supervising all lifting operations on site to ensure safety and compliance Coordinating with crane operators and rigging teams to execute precise lifting plans Inspecting lifting equipment and assessing its suitability for various tasks Ensuring adherence to lifting regulations and site safety procedures Maintaining detailed records of lifting activities and safety checks Conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks for the lifting team Identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures Working closely with site management to integrate lifting operations into the overall project schedule Job Requirements: Previous experience as a Lifting Supervisor in the construction industry Comprehensive knowledge of lifting regulations and standards Competence in using lifting equipment and understanding their specifications Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Commitment to ensuring a safe working environment Availability to work night shifts from 20:00 to 05:00 Relevant certifications for lifting operations If you are an experienced Lifting Supervisor looking for a challenging new role in the construction sector, we would love to hear from you.
