Quality Assurance Automation Engineer - Selenium/Cypress

Role : QA - Automation Location : Mumbai Type of Employment : Contract Work Mode : WFO Interview Process : 1 HR, L1 Technical Round, L2 Technical Round, Onboarding Immediate or joiners with 8-10 days Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing. - Utilize automation frameworks like Concordion (TDD) and Gherkin-Cucumber (BDD). - Perform API testing using tools like Rest-Assured or JMeter. - Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects. - Collaborate with developers and other QA team members to identify and resolve issues. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks. - Write clear and concise bug reports with detailed steps to reproduce. - Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity. - Contribute to performance testing and security testing efforts (if required). - Maintain and organize test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Stay up-to-date with the latest QA trends and technologies. Required Skills and Experience : - 5-7 years of hands-on QA experience. - Practical experience in automation testing and coding skills in at least one language (Core Java/Python/JavaScript). - Practical knowledge of at least one UI automation tool (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) - Proficient in API testing with any automation tool (Rest-Assured, JMeter, etc. - Strong SQL experience with various databases. - Practical experience with automation frameworks like Concordion (TDD) and Gherkin-Cucumber (BDD). - Practical experience with Agile methodologies. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a global team. - Self-motivated and a strong problem solver. - Willingness to learn and grow. Desired Skills : - Working knowledge of Unix/Shell Scripting. - Working knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. - Working knowledge of the financial domain. (ref:hirist.tech)
