Mainframe Developer - JCL/COBOL

Job Role : Mainframe Developer Experience : 5-10 Years Location : Pune, India ( Hybrid ) Time type : Contract Job Summary : A Mainframe Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that run on mainframe systems. We are looking for a seasonal Mainframe Developer. Key Responsibilities : - Develop and maintain mainframe applications using programming languages such as COBOL, JCL (Job Control Language), CICS (Customer Information Control System), and DB2. - Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code to meet business requirements and technical specifications. - Perform routine system maintenance, debugging, and troubleshooting of mainframe applications. - Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and functioning properly. Skills and Qualifications required : - Demonstrating a track record as mainframe application developer with many years of experience in development, maintenance and production support using Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) such as Agile & Scrum you will be able to walk us through your professional achievements and skills - Experienced Mainframe developer with COBOL, DB2, CICS, z/OS operating system, stored procedures and SQL. - Solid and Hands on experience on JCL/Procs - Experience in test driven development, continuous integration & deployment - Good to have Experience in the Financial sector. - Excellent communication skills and experience in liaising with other teams - Strong analytical & problem-solving skills - A flexible, resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills taking initiative to drive things forward independently adopting principles such as servant leadership - A positive attitude & willingness to learn & desire to improve the environment around you.
