Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer Initial 12 Month Contract Hybrid - 3 days per week on site in Christchurch, Dorset £57.33 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35) The Role Design and development of packaging & mounting arrangements for COTS. Design of electro-mechanical assemblies. Producing part & GA drawings. Peer reviews. Designing for manufacture review. Routing cables in 3D CAD. Producing cable/harness assemblies and drawings. The Candidate A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer. Proficiency with 3D CAD packages such as Siemens NX or Solidworks. Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices. Experience of designing sheet metal, machined parts and assemblies.
