Software Engineer

Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, test, and validate software issues; resolve issues with due urgency and maintain thorough documentation of all software solutions Participate in design decisions for new and existing application development, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles The ability to identify and correct software issues within the code while triaging Perform testing to ensure systems meet documented user requirements Use a disciplined approach in an Agile environment to assist in analysis and determination of preferred solutions to technical challenges Perform engineering level tests to find defects; troubleshoot and debug development and production issues, collaborating with QA Engineers to develop optimal product test plans Provide on-call (after hours) support for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Skills Required: Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or similar 3-6 years' experience designing and developing new or maintaining existing software applications in a software product development environment Experience in Java, C and C++, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Delphi Knowledge of databases and operating systems Experience in using an issue tracking system a plus Please send your CV to Spectrum IT Recruitment (South) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
