Senior Accountant / Client Manager (Accountancy Practice) – Preston / Manchester - Opportunity for Equity in Business An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Accounts Manager / Client Manager to join a dynamic accountancy practice in Preston. Key things to know about this role: ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant with strong practice experience Around 3-4 years experience of reviewing prepared accounts files and tax returns and managing client relationships, working with an established client portfolio. Excellent working knowledge of financial reporting, corporation tax, VAT, Income tax and IT matters. Easily respond to common SME tax planning queries, such as: Incorporation/disincorporation, remuneration planning, VAT registration matters, employment matters (including share based incentives), company reorganisations including inserting a holding company above a trading group. Solid working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, TaxCalc, Microsoft Excel. Xero QuickBooks – The ability to extract relevant reports to prepare financial accounts, working knowledge of recoding transactions, preparing VAT returns etc. TaxCalc – The ability to prepare accounts for all businesses using the software, importing from Xero, preparing personal and Corporate tax returns. Excel – Solid knowledge of Excel spreadsheets / workbooks including the ability to sort and analyse data efficiently, conditional formatting, and use of formulas such as SUMIF, VLOOKUP etc. Good communication skills (written and verbal). General managerial aspects This opportunity would be a salaried position but there would be potential scope in the future to acquire an equity stake.
