Job Description
Role : Full-Stack Developer - Digital Consultancy (Public Sector) Location : Glasgow (2-week indication onsite then fully remote) Length : 6-month contract Daily rate: £475-£550 (Outside IR35) Organisation We are looking for talented Full-Stack Developers to join a dynamic digital consultancy. You will be supporting a high-impact programme of work for a public sector client, delivering cutting-edge solutions to improve services and experiences for the local community. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, working on a variety of modern technologies to shape and drive the digital transformation of public sector services. Key Responsibilities: Develop scalable and high-performance web applications, contributing to both frontend and backend development. Design and implement responsive and accessible UIs using modern frameworks like React.js or Angular. Build and maintain robust backend systems using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6, ensuring high availability and performance. Integrate with third-party services and APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL). Implement and manage authentication and authorisation protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, Azure AD). Leverage Azure cloud technologies to ensure scalable and efficient cloud-based solutions. Collaborate closely with the DevOps team to manage CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments using Azure DevOps, AKS, and Docker. Work with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) to define and deploy infrastructure. Actively contribute to code quality, reviews, and development best practices in an agile environment. Essential Skills & Experience: Frontend: Strong proficiency in React.js or Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks. Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API). Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS). Backend : Expertise in C# and .NET Core/.NET 6. Experience with Node.js (for microservices or API integration). Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL. Solid database experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Cosmos DB. Proficiency in implementing authentication and authorisation protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, Azure AD). Cloud & DevOps: Azure Functions and Azure App Services. Azure DevOps for managing CI/CD pipelines. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker for containerisation. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Understanding of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
