Job Description

Onshore Commissioning Lead Representative required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer/ project to be based in Scotland. Responsibilities Liaison with Contractor Commissioning Lead to coordinate witnessing of Commissioning activities as identified within the Contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and programme Provide a weekly report on progress of Contractor Commissioning activities to Wind Farm Commissioning Lead and Substation Package Manager Participate and Lead on site Commissioning Meetings to coordinate the Commissioning scopes Attend Site Acceptance Tests on behalf of Client to ensure equipment is tested in line with ITP, relevant standards and in line with Employers Requirements Manage interface commissioning activities between Contractor and Client equipment Liaison with Contractor quality team to inspect and sign off punch list items Review relevant Contractor Commissioning Programmes and Commissioning documentation to confirm it meets the needs of Employers Requirements and relevant standards Manage and coordinate Client Commissioning resources to oversee activities Create operational instructions/guides on each item of equipment that can be used for the lifetime of the project Assist the relevant Package Engineers to answer TQ's, review design, raise issues, provide guidance and advice from lessons learnt and previous experience Close collaboration with the Contractor Commissioning Teams and SAP Team to effectively produce and plan the Commissioning Switching Programmes to facilitate the first time Energisation of equipment and subsequent live Commissioning tests Requirements UK Working Rights Electrical apprenticeship and higher education in electrical systems BESC SHEA Power Client Contractor National Safety Group Passport CSCS TP141 (advantageous) 10 years Commissioning experience Extensive knowledge of Power Systems, equipment, SCADA and Protection Systems Previous experience working for or alongside Siemens Energy, National Grid or Scottish Power Transmission Previously held a similar position either for Client or Contractor Worked in High Voltage Substation up to 275 / 400kV and held Authorisations (minimum Competent Person)
