Procurement Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator on a 12 month FTC to streamline our procurement processes and maintain relationships with our suppliers. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services in our industrial/manufacturing sector. Client Details Our client is an established player in the industrial/manufacturing sector, with a medium-sized team based in Abingdon. Description Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure the most favourable terms Work closely with the supply chain department to monitor stock levels and anticipate future supply needs Assist in the development of procurement strategies that maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, and potential future procurement deals Perform risk assessment on potential contracts and suppliers to ensure maximum value Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement objectives align with overall company goals Conduct regular supplier performance assessments to ensure quality standards are being met Profile A successful Procurement Coordinator should have: Previous experience in a procurement role within the industrial/manufacturing sector Proven ability in supplier negotiation and contract management Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams Job Offer A competitive salary in the range of £28,800 - £32,000, depending on experience An inclusive and supportive company culture that values the contribution of each team member Generous holiday leave package Opportunities for professional development and growth within the company A role that offers both challenge and variety, set within the exciting industrial/manufacturing sector in Abingdon This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator to further their career in a supportive and professional environment.
