Salary: £15.08 - £17.50 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM Friday: 7:30 AM 3:00 PM Paid for 39 hours per week Job Type: Permanent (straight perm or temp-to-perm for the right candidate) Immediate start available Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join our team, working with Vertical Machining Centres (VMC) and CNC Turning. The role involves low-volume batch work (4-12 pieces) on metal components, including some large parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, such as mould refurbishment, fabrication, or assembly. Key Responsibilities: Operate and set CNC machines (Fanuc-controlled VMC and 4-axis/3-axis machines). Perform basic programming and adjust programs as needed. Set offsets and choose appropriate tools for jobs. Work with tolerances that are not overly tight. Handle low-volume production batches efficiently. Use overhead cranes to manage large parts. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Setter/Operator. Proficient with Fanuc controls, including 4-axis (preferred) or 3-axis machining. Experience with parts measuring up to 15,000mm x 1,000mm. Strong understanding of basic programming and program adjustments. A good eye for detail and ability to work independently. Background in contracting engineering, mould refurbishment, or similar industries. Additional Information: Overtime rates may be available if required.
