Lead C++ Developer

I am looking to add a Lead C++ Developer to lead a talented team of software and test engineers to develop, implement and maintain safety-critical systems within a business who have grown by 70% in the last two years. Professional development is a high priority for them so they invest in their team by offering paid professional qualifications The role of a Lead C++ Developer You'll be responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team of software and test engineers. It's important that you encourage a collaborative and innovative team environment by driving continuous improvement in software development practices and ensure the team adheres to development best practices and company policies. You'll still be pretty hands on, getting involved with the coding side of the role with your team. Manage software development projects from inception to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Effectively manage projects by coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Technical / Person Requirements Strong commercial experience in C++ development. Strong experience with Linux operating systems. Proven experience in developing safety-critical systems up to SIL2. Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools. Worked in small - medium sized teams where you have shown influence and positive change You will currently be in a leadership role where you have proven team management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
