Water Compliance Engineer

Water Compliance Engineer Location: London (Mobile) Hours of work: 40 Contract Type: Permanent We are seeking a skilled and proactive Water Compliance Engineer to join our facilities team, playing a key role in ensuring all L8 and water compliance requirements are met across various sites. This mobile role offers opportunities for development within a stable and supportive employer. Job Description As the Water Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining water and dosed systems, conducting remedial works, and producing detailed reports to share during monthly quality meetings. Your expertise in dosing within closed systems, performing deep cleans of tanks and showers, and taking test results will ensure the highest standards of compliance and water quality across all sites. Experience in plumbing and installing water heaters is a significant advantage, as these skills will support a variety of tasks within the role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach and a desire to further develop their skills while contributing to a dedicated facilities team. Key Responsibilities Provide detailed reports of all and any tasks undertaken Quality checking of any Risk Assessment document submitted by the Water Compliance Risk Assessor including review of schematic drawings Review water sample results and issue advice or remediation where qualified and confident to do so Link in with the Principal Engineer for guidance with Microbiological and Public Health risks or advice Assist internal clients with failures in their primary control scheme by offering guidance Complete site visits where prompted to complete system reviews where primary control scheme has failed, at the request of the PE water or when water sampling warrants further investigation Assist the PE water during any investigation where applicable Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Considerable experience with cooling system risk assessment Considerable experience of assessing microbiological risks in domestic and commercial water systems of varying complexity Experience with microbiological interpretation of water samples Experience with interpretation of non-microbiological sample results such as BSRIA testing of closed systems An understanding of non-water systems such as HVAC, mechanical and pressure systems Competent across all IT software programmes Some experience of working within Critical Environments preferred Full driving license is essential The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
