Infrastructure Manager / Technical Project Manager

IT Infrastructure Project Manager – 6-Month Contract Location: Cardiff £325-£400 p/day IR35 Status yet to be determined A leading client of ours is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team on a 6-month interim basis. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership and technical expertise in managing complex IT infrastructure projects. Key Requirements: 5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure Management or Technical Project Management. Proven experience leading and managing technical teams (as a manager or project manager). Strong knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and virtualization technologies, including hands-on experience with solutions such as VMware or Hyper-V. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds). Experience in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and network security devices is highly desirable. Qualifications that are nice to have include: ITIL V4 Foundation (or higher) is preferred; Project Management qualifications are a plus. CISSP certification (or studying) is advantageous. About the Role: You will oversee critical IT infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient project delivery and managing day-to-day operations of a technical team. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing configuration changes, monitoring network performance, and ensuring robust virtualization and cloud connectivity.
