Job Description

Harper May is exclusively partnering with a leading property and construction company poised for rapid growth and expansion. At the forefront of the industry, the company is seeking an ambitious Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic vision and establishing its position as an industry leader. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a corporate strategy and annual business plan to ensure the company achieves its objectives efficiently and cost-effectively. Lead fundraising initiatives and engage with investors to secure necessary financial backing. Oversee and mentor the finance team, ensuring effective development and operational efficiency. Collaborate with the CEO and Board to shape the strategic vision, including financial forecasting and cultivating stakeholder relationships. Drive the identification and development of new business opportunities to fuel the company's expansion. Ensure robust financial controls and compliance procedures are in place and maintained. Provide the Board with accurate operating budgets, working closely to ensure pragmatic success. Oversee all fiscal activities, including revenue/expense management and balance sheet reports. Monitor and manage banking activities to optimise cash flow and financial stability. Oversee the preparation of monthly reports, financial statements, and cash flow projections. Review and manage the Group’s tax position, calculations, and filings. Desired Skills and Experience: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), with significant experience in leading and developing finance functions within high-growth environments. Strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of financial reporting and analysis. Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior leadership, investors, and key stakeholders. Ability to work with precision and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Exceptional Excel skills and advanced financial modelling capabilities.
