Transport Planner

This is a pivotal role responsible for delivering transport planning services to the business, involving a range of complex activities that support our operational processes and services. The role requires the job holder to ensure exceptional transport planning and provide business support to both internal and external clients, ensuring the seamless and efficient execution of the entire process from collection to invoicing. You will be responsible for organising, planning, and managing transport movements within the carrier network, ensuring customer requirements are met while adhering to agreed budgets and timelines. Essential Minimum of 2 years' operational experience in a transport planning role within a busy transport environment. Strong knowledge of route planning for HGVs, including consideration of driver resting periods and legal compliance. Good understanding of Food Safety regulations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to import and manipulate data from external sources. Knowledge of the freight, transport, and logistics industry, including industry best practices and legal requirements. Desirable Knowledge of WTD and EU/AETR rules on Drivers Hours Knowledge of temperature-controlled transports Knowledge of a European language ADZN1_UKTJ
