Substantive Consultant Geriatrician - £105,504 - £139,882 Per annum– University Hospitals and Derby and Burton Consultant GeriatricianSalary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum Location: Royal Derby Hospital Hours: 10 sessions per week (plus 1 in 6 weekend sessions for Royal Derby Hospital-based post or General Medicine On-Call at Queen's Hospital Burton) Contract: Permanent Job Overview University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) is seeking Consultant Geriatricians to join its Department for Medicine of the Elderly (DME) team. Essential Criteria: Full GMC Registration with a license to practice MBBS/MBChB and MRCP qualification Eligibility for entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of receiving a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR in Medicine for the Elderly at the time of the interview Preferred Criteria: Five years of supervised training in an appropriate SpR-equivalent training program, with advanced clinical skills in Medicine for the Elderly Strong technical competence in geriatric medicine Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Teaching and Research Experience: Teaching: Experience in and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students Research: Publications in peer-reviewed journals Management and Administrative Experience: Experience in audit management About the Location: Derby and Burton provide an ideal setting for professional growth and work-life balance, with access to vibrant city amenities and scenic countryside.
