Electrical Maintenance Technician

F/T Permanent Electrical Maintenance Technician required for Moira Job Purpose: The Electrical Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production machinery and electrical systems within the facility. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with external technicians when specialised support is required. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both electrical systems and mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency. Essential Criteria: Qualified Electrician with a recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). Additional certifications in mechanical maintenance, multi-skilled engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably within the food production sector. Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production machinery and equipment. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for both electrical and mechanical issues. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams, technical drawings, and schematics. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks and prioritise work efficiently. Desirable Criteria: Familiarity with working alongside external contractors and technicians for more complex maintenance tasks or specialised machinery support. Experience with control panels, and automated machinery is highly desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external service providers.
