Commercial Manager

Eastchurch Construction LTD is a commercial construction company partner in Kent and throughout the Southeast. From ground-up construction to planned and preventative maintenance contracts, commercial refurbishments to civil engineering solutions, we are looking for someone to join the team and control all commercial aspects of the business. A Commercial Manager with Estimating Experience, who is also keen on sales and customer acquisition would be the ideal candidate. Duties and Responsibilities Site meetings with client and assessing project scope. Producing accurate take offs & bill of quantities for projects using first principle methods. Ability to manage every aspect of site & maintenance operations. From set up, running and completion. Ability to plan and allocate labour accordingly. Produce and update procurement schedules for all projects. Package scopes & drawings to allow subcontractor packaging with zero scope gap. Identify appropriate subcontractors for all aspects of works. Complete all valuation and billing/invoicing. Manage and monitor variations and changes. Fluent with current building regulations & BS codes Monitor costs and expenditure across the construction process. Job Requirements Experience of managing cost on projects within industrial and commercial sectors Skills in Estimating, Cost Control, BOQ, Cost Management, and Cost Forecasting and Planning Experienced working within a principal building contractor Skills to enable reactive working for maintenance projects Experienced in creating detailed cost reports Solid experience in the construction industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure Drivers licence is essential. Conversant with Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, and estimating software. Experience of JCT & NEC contracts Educated as a minimum to HNC/HND/Degree level - or equivalent preferred Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering process from bidding through to award of contract.
