Job Title: General Warehouse Person Location: Swindon Salary: £13 per hour Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch break) Friday: 08:00 - 16:00 (1-hour lunch break) We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Warehouse Person to join our clients team. This role has become available due to recent staff changes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse, handling a variety of tasks that require both skill and physical strength. Key Responsibilities: General Warehouse Duties: Perform a range of tasks to support the overall efficiency of the warehouse. Electrical Cable Assembly: Make up electrical cables according to specifications. Power Supply Assembly: Assemble power supplies as required. Battery Unit Recycling: Break down battery units received for recycling, ensuring proper handling and disposal. Cargo Packing: Assist in packing cargo securely for shipment. Courier Shipments: Book and manage courier shipments to ensure timely delivery. Crate Construction: Make up crates for shipping various items. Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and tidy, ensuring a safe working environment. Physical Labour: Handle labour-intensive tasks, including lifting items weighing between 12kg and 30kg.Experience and Knowledge Required: Wiring and Stripping: Understanding of wiring techniques and the ability to strip back wires efficiently. Warehouse Experience: Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential. Forklift Operation: Ability to drive a forklift for loading and unloading vehicles. Physical Stamina: Comfortable with performing physically demanding tasks on a regular basis. Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be a proactive and reliable individual with a strong work ethic. You should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
