Job Role: Procurement Manager Location: Yate/Bristol Salary: £42.5k Bonus DOE Our client are a leading manufacturing organisation within the bespoke furniture market. Having over 20 years in their field they have built up trusted relationships with customers and are in a position of growth as a business. The ideal candidate should excel in both team settings and working independently, meeting strict deadlines under pressure. Key skills include Problem Solving, Supply Chain Negotiation, Communication, and Relationship Building. While experience in a similar role is preferred, we also welcome candidates from developmental roles within the same sector. Your Job Oversee the day-to-day procurement activities of a fast-paced production site, managing the whole procurement process of bespoke made-to-measure office chairs & components. Identifying opportunities for supply chain improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach to optimisation of margin, component quality and reduction of supply chain volatility at all times. Monitoring quality, safety and overall standards of the procurement department and it’s supply partners from raw material to end product. Generate procurement reports, analyse KPI's and present to senior management at regular intervals. As part of a collaborative and diverse workplace culture. Working in a collaborative environment with the accounts teams and senior leadership to plan and effectively execute on payment scheduling, invoice and purchase order fulfilment and future forecasting or needs based on market conditions and business performance. The role has opportunity to develop into a director level position within the near future, so the ambition to excel is crucial.Your Background Qualification in procurement management, operations management or related discipline a plus but not essential. Experience, aptitude and ambition valued above all else. Proven experience in a management role or history of management within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong knowledge of internation import/customs/freight regulations and quality control standards when implemented in product production. Experience working alongside creative and technical teams to design and launch new products would be a benefit but not essential at this stage. An understanding of MRP and ERP software solutions and their use within live manufacturing environments will be key to driving success within this role at all stages.
