Job overview Leeds & York Partnership NHS Trust are seeking to recruit a Domestic Assistant, on a full time basis, to join our Facilities team in providing five star cleaning services at Mill Lodge . Facilities are a progressive and forward thinking department looking for a self-motivated Domestic Assistant. Main duties of the job You will join a domestic team ensuring a clean environment in line with the Cleaning Standards for our service users, colleagues and visitors, you would be required to work 5/7 days a week, which includes working some weekends and Bank holidays. The job is 27.5; hours vary but are between 0700 - 1900 according to rota. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder is responsible for providing a high standard of domestic service to patients, staff and visitors within Clinical/Non-Clinical departments, alone or as part of a team. The Soft FM service is provided as part of the wider Estates and Facilities Directorate. The domestic Assistant works as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering a high standard of cleaning in areas of high activity with frequent change. Staff must be flexible, adaptable and work to support other staff, who have clinical responsibility to service users. Fixed Term Contracts for existing NHS Employees - temporary contracts for employees of LYPFT, or colleagues joining from another NHS Trust, will be offered on a secondment basis wherever possible. In the event this is not possible, an FTC would be issued and this would require a break in service of two weeks. The purpose of a temporary is role could be for maternity cover, temporary funding or some other reason. At the end of which the need for the temporary work will cease. Temporary roles can stop, be extended and/or made permanent at any point during the period of work. Should the role become permanent then the post-holder will be informed of the process to be followed to convert the position to a permanent one. Please note that from 1st July 2018, all new employees are required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service, DBS checks for volunteers remain free of charge.
