Setting Out Engineer

Our Client are a privately owned national contractor operating in a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, residential, leisure and healthcare. The South West Division have already secured their budgeted pipeline for the next two years and are thus looking for a number of experienced professionals to join their rapidly expanding team . Options Resourcing have been retained to assist with the recruitment of permanent Setting Out Engineers to work on projects in the Bristol and Somerset area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate positioning and alignment of key elements and be qualified to HND or Degree level. Key Responsibilities; Perform accurate setting out and surveying tasks for construction projects. Interpret and implement technical drawings and designs on-site. Conduct site surveys and ensure the correct levels and measurements are established. Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to resolve any technical issues. Maintain accurate records of site work and prepare reports as required. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to on-site. Skills & Experience Required; A degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field. Proven experience in a setting out or similar engineering role. Proficiency in using total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying tools. Excellent understanding of technical drawings and construction processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
