Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator who will administer and support Fundserv’s Oracle database installations and provide 3rd level operations support for database-related issues. In this role, you will… Install and configure Oracle databases including upgrades and patch management Ensure that the database functional specifications address the business requirements and comply with architectural & technical constraints Collaborate with other groups such as the development team, customer service, executive on new database designs and modifications to existing applications Maintain a secure database by patching and utilizing database best practices Control and coordinate changes to the various database environments Provides recommendations, explanations, guidance to other teams in the organization with respect to projects, BAU and infrastructure. 24/7 support coverage on a rotational basis Why you are the person we’re looking for… Using Oracle 19c or later , you’ve demonstrated the ability to do the following , gained through education and/or experience: Maintain databases using knowledge of Oracle database architecture, including understanding of tablespaces, data files, redo logs, and control files on various environments Support end to end database administration using ExaCC/Exadata Utilize SQL and PL/SQL for database querying, scripting and automation Utilize Oracle database performance tuning techniques such as indexing, partitioning optimizer hints.
