Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Title: Intermediate QA Analyst Location: Toronto, Winnipeg, or London (3 days onsite in office location closest to you) Job Type: Contract (6 months to start) Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate QA Analyst to join our clients' dynamic team. You will provide a strong background in development, particularly in Java or other object-oriented languages, and proven experience in writing and maintaining test code. This role requires an excellent understanding of software design methodologies, documentation standards, and a comprehensive skill set in Java17, Maven, SQL, and database management. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java or other object-oriented languages. Ensure the quality and reliability of software through rigorous testing and validation. Collaborate with development teams to understand software design methodologies and documentation standards. Utilize Java17, Maven, and SQL to support testing activities. Work with both relational and non-relational databases to validate data integrity and performance. Understand and utilize APIs in practice to support testing and integration efforts. Document test cases, test results, and any defects identified during testing. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testing practices. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance software quality. Qualifications: Development experience in Java or other object-oriented languages. Proven experience writing and maintaining test code using tools HPQC, Testrail, UFT, SOAPUI Excellent understanding of software design methodologies and documentation standards. Comprehensive skill set encompassing Java17, Maven, and SQL. Proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DB2) Understanding of APIs and how to use them in practice. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
