Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $2,438 per week in Rochester, NY

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Med-Surg/Telemetry for a 13-week contract. The nurse will work 12-hour rotating shifts and will be expected to work on alternate weekends and holidays. Candidates should have at least two years of experience and be adept in managing patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), acute myocardial infarction (MI), arrhythmias, and those in post-device care scenarios such as post pacemakers, Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (AICDs), and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PTCIs) coming from the Cath Lab. Though experience with femoral sheath pulls is preferred, it is not required. This unit provides care for cardiac patients requiring acute intermediate care as well as general medical patients. While the facility houses patients with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD), prior experience is not necessary, but an interest in learning is vital. The RN will also assist with blood draws and is expected to float as needed. The facility may call off up to three shifts over the course of a 13-week contract.
