Roofer (Bedford)

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency with various tools and techniques. This role involves working on residential roofing projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Location: Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain roofs using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and flat roofing systems. Assess roofing needs by interpreting schematics and project specifications. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Fabricate components as necessary for specific roofing projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or areas requiring maintenance. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction role. Familiarity with carpentry, masonry, and welding techniques is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints effectively. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to job sites. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
