Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering Tier One Civil Engineering Contractor Birmingham Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career on a high profile Civil Engineering project? Then a role with this market leading Contractor could be for you. My client is a multi billion Civil Engineering Contractor delivering an iconic Civil Engineering project across the West Midlands. They are looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their Commercial Delivery Team to manage all costs from the initial calculations to the final figures, minimising the costs of the project and enhancing value for money, for a specific section of the scheme. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties and responsibilities will include; Initiating and leading tasks and processes, taking ownership and being accountable, for the work and roles of others whilst exercising broad autonomy and judgement within broad parameters in their area of governance. Liaising with a Project Manager or Commercial Manager for relevant commercial aspects of a section of a project. Ensure that the commercial position of the Company is protected using in depth understanding and experience of contractual, commercial, insurance and legal processes. Some ownership for effective client relationship management to encourage smooth commercial progression of the contract. Manage and provide development and support to other commercial team members. Demonstrate and maintain a high level of commercial and technical knowledge. Work closely with the delivery team to develop techniques and solutions to meet business and customer needs. Prepare subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returns and make recommendations to appoint and places subcontracts accurately and on time.
